Thomas Hailer is artistic director of the Nordic Film Days Lübeck. From 2008 to 2019, he advised the festival director on the programming of the international competition of the Berlinale as curator. Previously, he was head of Generation, the Berlinale section for young audiences, from 2002 to 2008.
Thomas Hailer is working as a dramaturge and script consultant since 1995. His most recent projects include Mission Ulja Funk by Barbara Kronenberg, awarded with German Film Award LOLA in 2023. He has been a mentor at the Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film Lab since 2020.
Since its founding in 2000, he has been a member of the Head of Studies at the Academy for Children's Media, where his responsibilities include curriculum and project support.
As a certified systemic organizational developer, change manager and systemic integrative coach, he advises boards of directors, executives and teams in media and cultural enterprises.
Memberof European Film Academy since 2022.
